Why Psychotherapy?
Some know precisely why they seek therapy – a bereavement, dissatisfaction in relationships or other challenges. For others the reasons are less clear – a feeling of being stuck in a rut or of general discontentment, perhaps. Whatever your reasons for considering therapy, it may be beneficial to know that it is an evidence-based approach to treating symptoms like anxiety and depression, as well as an ideal site for self-discovery and exploring life’s thorny questions. Psychotherapy can be a joyful, but also potentially challenging experience as it asks us to face ourselves authentically.
What to Expect
You can expect a welcoming and confidential environment to explore whatever you wish to bring.
Our first consultation is where we can discuss your expectations and what you hope to get from psychotherapy. If you decide to proceed, we will meet weekly at the same time on an agreed day. Each therapy session lasts 50 minutes and costs £35. I offer concessions to precariously employed, low or unwaged people; please ask for more details.
